Job Title: TPM Android & CICD

Experience: 12 to 15 Years

· Lead and mentor a team of software Integration engineers responsible for Android/Linux BSP, system integration, build, and release management.

· Define team goals, KPIs, and align them with organizational objectives.

· Hire, coach, and develop talent to build a high-performing team culture.

· Oversee integration of middleware components and application layers over Android/Linux platforms (AOSP, JANTE, etc.).

· Manage software build infrastructure (e.g., Jenkins, GITHUB, CI, Buildroot, BitBake).

· Own and maintain the release pipeline, ensuring high-quality and timely software drops for internal and external customers.

· Drive automation of build validation, smoke testing, and OTA-ready release processes.

· Collaborate with product managers, architects, component teams and QA leads to align on delivery schedules and integration strategies.

· Monitor and report progress, quality metrics, and risk mitigation plan to stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262 if applicable).

· Lead configuration management and change control processes.

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field.

· 10+ years of experience in embedded systems/software development.

· 5+ years hands-on experience with Automotive on Android/Linux system development.

· Strong experience in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, Artifactory, GitLab CI, etc.

· Deep understanding of build systems: BitBake, CMake, Make, Gradle.

· Proven expertise in integration of modular software components and system bring-up.

· Solid knowledge of scripting (C++, Python, Bash, Conan)

· Work experience in Gtest, CTest

· Handson experience in automating Build Validation, Pipeline activities and validation.

· Experience in Porting Android image for reference hardware (Ex: raspberry pi)

· Experience in AOSP and NDK Platform

· Experience in working with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

· Familiarity with agile software development and DevOps practices.

The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”.
